These arbors are precision-turned from 1144 Steel and are ready for use in your preferred machine tool. At a commercial grade, the arbors have a TIR of <0.002", but often exceed expectations with down to a 0.0002" TIR!
Innovative Interchangeable Key
Rather than a conventional keyway and key, this tool arbor uses the tip of an extended tip set screw as the key. The included M6x1mm set screw features as 4mm tip that sticks proud to mate with the keyway on your cutter. This innovative design allows for variable key widths with the same arbor, without sacrificing quality or rigidity.
Great Match for Small Module Cutters
The 16mm arbor is the perfect match for small module gear cutters, including 0.5, 0.7, 1.0, and 1.25 module. Many cutters will come with multiple bore options, so it's important to match the arbor to the bore size.
Accessible with Common Machines
Designed to fit within the ER32 and R8 collet ranges, this tool arbor features a 7/8" straight shank. With a Bridgeport mill (and 1.7" quill diameter) in mind, the length of this cutter can accommodate up to a 5" OD piece (over 120 gear teeth at 24DP!)
